University of Toronto Bookstores & Computer Shop Return Policy

  1. Refunds & exchanges are at the sole discretion of the Bookstore & Computer Shop.
  2. Goods must be in MINT condition – New books no bent corners must have no creases, markings & spine unbroken.
  3. Original cash register receipt must be presented and is required for any return or exchange. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
  4. Return must be made NO MORE THAN 14 CALENDAR DAYS from original purchase date.
  5. Textbooks and other course materials purchased between the following dates will be FINAL SALE:
    • October 15 – December 22nd
    • March 1st – May 7th
    • June 15th – 30th
    • July 15th - August 20th
  6. Clothing must be in original condition with tags still attached.
  7. Defective merchandise may be exchanged for same product.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

  1. Special orders, custom published materials, any spiral or cerlox bound materials, exam prep books, charts and merchandise marked "Final Sale", "No Refunds Allowed (NR)" and "Clearance Items".
  2. Sale Books, and Print on Demand Books
  3. Opened shrink-wrapped packages, headphones & earbuds.
  4. Confectionary, calculators, phone cards, and access codes.
  5. Medical instruments and supplies.
  6. Sports equipment, swimwear and accessories.
  7. Books that have been photocopied will not be accepted for returns.

COMPUTER SHOP PRODUCT

  1. All Computer Shop sales are considered FINAL SALE unless otherwise stated.
  2. NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES OR REPLACEMENTS on opened hardware or software. The Computer Shop is not responsible for any software incompatabilities.
  3. Defective hardware is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
  4. Custom order/ Special order computers cannot be refunded, exchanged or returned in under any circumstances. Special order computers cannot be cancelled. Any deposit paid must be applied to the computer purchase. The Computer Shop cannot guarantee delivery time and condition of special order computers.
  5. Unopened computer hardware (including but not limited to desktop computers, notebooks, printers, scanners, and MP3 players) may be returned within 7 CALENDAR DAYS OF PURCHASE with original receipt only. Refunds based on current market value, not original purchase price, and may be subject to 15% restocking fee.
  6. Unopened software and computer accessories may be returned within 14 calendar days of purchase with original receipt only. Refunds based on current market value, not original purchase price, and may be subject to 15% restocking fee.
  7. All software licenses (including, but not limited to, Adobe Student Licenses, Microsoft Student Licenses, and Adobe Department Licenses) are FINAL SALE. No refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.
  8. All returns or exchanges must be in ORIGINAL, RESALEABLE CONDITION, with all packaging, accessories, and documentation. Any goods not in original condition (including products with damaged packaging, products missing accessories or documentation, used goods) cannot be exchanged or returned under any circumstances.
  9. A full deposit is required for all Computer Shop special orders. Computer Shop special orders must be picked up within 14 calendar days of notification. If the special order is not picked up within 14 days, it will be returned to the distributor, and the deposit may be forfeited to pay for shipping and handling.
  10. Original cash register receipt must be presented and is required for any return or exchange. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
