Product Description

This collection of ten short stories deals with black men - from the Caribbean, Africa and Canada - in Toronto. Each of these men is at a different place in dealing with their sexuality. Some men are gay, bisexual, confused or other. Every story looks beyond the characters’ sexuality and places them within the context of the families/communities they come from. In the first story Tony Clark a nineteen year old Jamaican guy who was kicked out of home. In the last story entitled Dark Hard Chocolate, we are re-introduced to Damien and Emmanuel. These characters were initially introduced in the author Kwame Stephens’ sold out stage play “Man 2 Man”. In this collection, we meet them where the stage play left their wedding. Kwame Stephens is an author, playwright, poet and more who has called Toronto home for over two decades. His work continues to be published/produced in North America and English speaking Africa. Kwame often visits Ghana, the land of his birth.
